Now that our supposedly neutral media have gone into overdrive to tell the country that President Trump suggested people be injected with disinfectant…
…and President Trump has said he did no such thing, he was just making a sarcastic comment…
I thought it would be useful to, once more (as I did yesterday), put up his exact words – unedited and in full context.
Here are Mr. Trump’s verbatim comments, which were voiced after Bill Bryan, Under Secretary for Science and Technology at the Department of Homeland Security, noted that warm weather and sunlight are instrumental in killing off the COVID-19 virus. (I have put the “disinfectant” part in bold print):
“So, I’m going to ask Bill a question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposing when we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it.
“And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you’re going to test that too. Sounds interesting. And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute.
“And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me.
“So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful.”
There are President Trump’s exact words.
Did he suggest disinfectant be injected into people’s bodies or ask whether it there was a way it could be done?
Did he come across as definitive – i.e. “let’s do this”, inquisitive – i.e. “is there a way to do this”, or sarcastic – i.e. “yeah, right, as if that’s ever going to happen”?
There are the words. You decide.

People who think Trump was talking about injecting a household disinfectant are the problem. They are the reason companies have to put all those ridiculous warning labels on everything….”Do Not Grab The Wrong End of the Chainsaw” “Remove The Windshield Sunscreen Before Driving” “Do Not Put A Person In This Washing Machine”
