IF TRUMP’S 2017 TAX CUTS ONLY BENEFITED THE WEALTHY….

…then maybe you’d like to take a shot at explaining this, as reported in Josh Christenson’s article for the New York Post:

More than 8 in 10 likely voters want President Trump’s 2017 tax cuts extended before they expire at the end of this year, according to a new poll released as Congress rushes to finalize a “big, beautiful” bill making those provisions permanent.

A Public Opinion Strategies survey exclusively obtained by The Post found 84% of possible US voters would back keeping the current tax rates if they were in Congress — while just 16% would favor a tax increase.

By party affiliation, 95% of Republicans, 81% of independents and 74% of Democrats prefer the status quo in terms of taxation.

But…but…since the tax cuts only benefited the rich, removing them would only increase taxes on the rich, and everyone else would reap the benefit of them paying their (I love this expression) “fair share”.  Right?

So – assuming this poll is accurate (or anywhere remotely near it) – how come just about everybody, including 3 out of 4 Democrats, want them to remain in place?

It would be interesting if our mainstream media would be asking a few folks about this; maybe also asking a few Democrats who told us how bad the tax cuts were as well.

With few (if any) exceptions, don’t hold your breath waiting for it to happen.
