…and he is serious about investigating Russian involvement in the 2016 election….
…how is it possible that he would not be investigating Hillary Clinton’s campaign as well as Donald Trump’s?
There is far more evidence to suggest Russia had a stake in Ms. Clinton winning this election than Mr. Trump.
So if the Mueller investigation is going beyond its initial, narrow, scope of obstruction of justice – which no one has seen a hint of actual evidence go support (which leads to the obvious question of why this investigation is taking place at all)\ – does it not stand to reason that it will look at both candidates?
Regular readers of this blog know I have been talking, for months, about the deep ties between Hillary Clinton, the Clinton foundation and Russia, which involve millions of dollars changing hands, and Secretary Of State Clinton’s approval of a “deal” that gave control of roughly 20% of the United States’ uranium reserves to Russia.
They also know that a major source for this knowledge is the April 23, 2015 exposé by the New York Times , titled, “Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal” – which, you can bet, The Clinton-loving Times has regretted publishing ever since – which started this way:
The headline on the website Pravda trumpeted President Vladimir V. Putin’s latest coup, its nationalistic fervor recalling an era when its precursor served as the official mouthpiece of the Kremlin: “Russian Nuclear Energy Conquers the World.”
The article, in January 2013, detailed how the Russian atomic energy agency, Rosatom, had taken over a Canadian company with uranium-mining stakes stretching from Central Asia to the American West. The deal made Rosatom one of the world’s largest uranium producers and brought Mr. Putin closer to his goal of controlling much of the global uranium supply chain.
But the untold story behind that story is one that involves not just the Russian president, but also a former American president and a woman who would like to be the next one.
At the heart of the tale are several men, leaders of the Canadian mining industry, who have been major donors to the charitable endeavors of former President Bill Clinton and his family. Members of that group built, financed and eventually sold off to the Russians a company that would become known as Uranium One.
Beyond mines in Kazakhstan that are among the most lucrative in the world, the sale gave the Russians control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in the United States. Since uranium is considered a strategic asset, with implications for national security, the deal had to be approved by a committee composed of representatives from a number of United States government agencies. Among the agencies that eventually signed off was the State Department, then headed by Mr. Clinton’s wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Think that’s worth a look, Mr. Mueller?
The reason I bring this up is that, since most mainstream media – including the New York Times since the above-referenced article was published – have largely buried the Clinton involvement it should be brought up periodically by someone.
The next blog will be about another issue that begs for further investigation, and which, I hope, the Trump administration and its people insist on pursuing: that “tarmac” meeting between Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch last year… which they hope you are stupid enough to believe was a) by entirely by chance and b) in any event, did not involve any discussion of Hillary Clinton’s email scandal.
