Axios.com is a generally leftward website, where there is no love lost when it comes to Republicans in general and Donald Trump in particular.
So if, after having acquired partial tapes of Joe Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur, Axios tells us, in essence, that Joe Biden was a cognitive mess – and therefore being protected by the the people who knew he was a cognitive mess (read that as the Democrats around him and most of our complicit mainstream media) – it has a great deal of credibility.
Here, as reported in Jennifer Van Laar’s article for redstate.com, is the Axios overall assessment:
“Amid long, uncomfortable pauses, Joe Biden struggled to recall when his son died, when he left office as vice president, what year Donald Trump was elected or why he had classified documents he shouldn’t have had, according to audio Axios obtained of his October 2023 interviews with special counsel Robert Hur.”
Robert Hur interviewed Joe Biden in October of 2023 – with well over a year left in his presidential term. The fact that this was withheld from us meant that, for all that time, The United States had a President who clearly was not capable of performing his duties.
Who was making decisions? Who was using that “auto-pen” to sign legislation? Did Biden even know what was going on? The bottom line is we had unnamed Democrats who no one elected running our country.
If you ask Democrats about that now, the talking point being echoed by numbers of them (which, obviously, was talked out beforehand) is that “we are not looking backward, we are looking forward”.
What a disgusting, fraudulent line that is.
Tell me: if Chuck Schumer is assaulted by someone who doesn’t like his politics (people who don’t like Schumer are not hard to find these days, even in his own party), and the guy who assaulted him uses a “let’s not look backward, let’s look forward” defense, what do you suppose Schumer’s answer will be?
The truth is, the only way Democrats could get away with this is if – with few exceptions – they had an accomplice media allowing them to. Which is exactly what happened.
Withholding Joe Biden’s deteriorated mental state was – to say the very least – a national disgrace that exposed our country to potential catastrophe. I only hope enough voters realize as much, realize how much danger it put our country in, take note of who participated in it, and act accordingly on election day.
