First, the standards that ebay purports to follow – straight from its own web site:
We don’t allow items that promote or glorify hatred, violence, racial, sexual, or religious intolerance, or promote organizations with such views. We’ll also remove listings that graphically portray graphic violence or victims of violence, unless they have substantial social, artistic, or political value.
eBay has always exercised judgment in allowing or disallowing certain listings consistent with the spirit of a worldwide community. We carefully consider all the details before deciding to remove such listings when they’re brought to our attention, looking at the entire listing to see if it goes against our guidelines.
Now, a current offering on ebay, which I am pulling from Eric Lieberman’s blog at dailycaller.com:
An eBay user is selling a Black Lives Matter (BLM) shirt for $15 with an explicit picture of a cop having his throat slit.
The vendor listed as “valerijackso52” includes lengthy information about BLM along with racially-charged literature. There is not much detail about the actual item, but it is said to be located in Plant City, Florida according to the web page.
Do you have as much of a problem with this as I do?
Why not let ebay know about it.
And then remind yourself that this is the organization Hillary Clinton has gone all in for.
Maybe it is Ms. Clinton who should have a word with ebay….and with #blacklivesmatter. But don’t count on it happening.
