DIM BULB DEBBIE STRIKES AGAIN

I try not to blog too often about the gaffes, and lies, of Debbie Wasserman Schultz (DWS).  It\’s too easy.

Bit this one I can\’t let go.

Earlier this week, while being interviewed by (Democrat-friendly) Mark Halperin of Bloomberg News and Morning Joe, DWS made the astonishing claim that President Obama was out there campaigning for Democrats in “competitive races”.

I call that claim astonishing because – as I am sure you are aware – due to his record-low approval ratings, Democrats in competitive races are trying to avoid their association with President Obama like cockroaches try to avoid Raid.

But there was DWS making the claim anyway, as if it had a shred of credibility.

And when Mr. Halperin asked her which competitive races she had in mind?  Here\’s what she said:

WassermanSchultz: ” The president is campaigning in competitive races duringthis election cycle”

Halperin:”But what competitive Senate races is the president campaigningin?  Is there one?”

WassermanSchultz:  “There are races that the president is campaigning inaround the country, and he\’s also governing.  He\’s doing his job and he\’s also spent time recordingrobo calls, and doing radio spots, and making sure that our GOTVfocus is aggressive as possible.”

Huh?  Wha?  What did DWS say?

Nothing.  She said nothing.  All she did was state, generically, that President Obama is campaigning, with absolutely no examples of what she had claimed the sentence before.

And why did she offer no examples?  Because she doesn\’t have any.

It was a flat-out lie; one which pretty much everyone but the lowest of low-information voters would recognize as such.  And, while there is no shortage of lowest-of low-information voters, I doubt many of them watch Bloomberg to see shows like this.  So her lie was put out to people who would have no problem recognizing it as such…a fact which Ms. Wasserman Schultz either did not realize or did not care about.

Not for nothing do I call her Dim Bulb Debbie.

And not for nothing would it behoove the Democratic National Committee (DNC), after this election, to find itself another chairperson; one with a credibility level that does not hover between that of Joe Isuzu and Jubilation T. Cornpone.
