Barack Obama took office almost 8 years ago, with the promise – both verbal and implicit – that he would bring us together.
The Gallup Organization just released its latest poll evaluating how the public feels about our “togetherness” – the last one of Mr. Obama’s presidency.
It shows that 77% of the country consider us divided – the highest percentage ever seen over the 23 years Gallup has been tracking this issue.

You wanted a legacy, Mr. Obama? That’s a legacy.
Probably not one that you’ll feature on your official biography, though.
