How dirty is the Clinton camp? How murky are their activities?
The State Department put up virtually no resistance when Hillary Clinton\’s private lawyer requested to keepcopies of her emails-even though those emails contained classified information,and even though it was unclear whether the attorney was cleared to see suchsecrets.
Experts on the handling of classified information tell TheDaily Beast that the seemingly chummy arrangement between Clinton’s lawyer andher former State Department aides was “quite unusual.”
Newly released documents, obtained by The Daily Beast incoordination with the James Madison Project under the Freedom of InformationAct, include legal correspondence and internal State Department communicationsabout Clinton\’s emails. Those documents provide new details about how officialstried to accommodate the former secretary of state and presidential candidate.
Now why would the State Department – the State Department once run by Hillary Clinton, and now by her friend/ally John Kerry – allow this? Would that kind of accommodation have been made for, say, Condoleezza Rice, if she were accused of what Ms. Clinton is?
At some point, no matter how much of a Hillary fan you are, you have to realize that everything you find out about her, the people around her and the way she operates, is dirty. The issue, it seems to me, is whether you are so completely committed to Ms. Clinton, regardless of who and what she is, that you will find a way to ignore what is in front of your eyes.
There are a lot of people who qualify for this dubious status.
But, based on the polling data, a good many fewer than there once were….and, very possibly, a good many more than there soon will be.
Anyway, I hope so.
