FYI: “An Inconvenient Sequel” initially was shown in four theaters nationwide – in areas sure to draw a crowd of like-minded climate change believers. And, just as Paramount hoped, it got a huge gross of over $38,000 per theater. This was supposed to build a positive dynamic that would translate into filled theaters around the country when the movie went into more general distribution.
The bad news – at least for Al Gore and his supporters? It didn’t.
Distribution of “An Inconvenient Sequel” has expanded to a still-limited 180 theaters – selected, it would seem logical to any competent marketing person, from areas where there would be a higher likelihood of drawing the climate change crowd. And now the per-theater gross is…$5,000.
If/when it goes into full release – maybe 3,000 theaters – expect those numbers to plummet.
My wife and I have seen the trailer for “An Inconvenient Sequel” several times. Apart from its dishonesty (e.g. pretending the flooding that took place at the World Trade Center site during Hurricane Sandy was anything more than a one-time anecdotal event), all that came across was that the movie would be 1:40 hours of Al Gore screaming sanctimonies at us, one after the other.
Does this mean there is no such thing as climate change, or that everything Al Gore says about it is wrong? Not at all.
What it does say is that we heard it all from Gore 10 years ago, and a great many of us don’t want to hear it again – especially if he’s screaming it at us with a God-complex tone of voice.

Most of the claims of his original movie have been debunked
the predictions have NOT occurred
and Fat Albert bought another mansion —- on the California coastline (rising seas, anyone?).

By not filling theaters we can show Al Gore and the other liars that we know the truth. That it is a money making scam perpetrated on the citizens of developed countries and harmful to the poor people in developing countries.
How many times do the “scientists” pushing GW have to be caught falsifying records before the media reports what a fraud this whole thing is???
How much money have they stolen from all of us???
When do we start seeing these people arrested and thrown in jail for committing FRAUD???
