I just read the latest invocation of that horrific number of Washington D.C. police injured, many in terrible ways, on January 6, 2021. This time it was from that famous source of accurate, unbiased commentary, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD)…and yes, that description is dripping with sarcasm.
Speaking of the settlement to the family of Ashlee Babbit, who was killed by a Capital Police Officer on that day, Raskin said this:
“Although Trump’s new attorney general is set to give $5 million to the rioter’s family, Trump has not proposed to give a penny to the more than 140 police officers injured, wounded, hospitalized, disfigured, and/or disabled in their violence.”
More than 140 police officers injured, wounded, hospitalized, disfigured and/or disabled.
Boy there must have been ambulances one after the other at the Capital Building on January 6th. They must have been lined up out there.
Except…
It is now over four years later and I have never seen even one video of those ambulances. And I have never seen even one listing of who those 140 plus officers were, or what their individual injuries were.
How come? Why do you suppose?
What I have heard, repeatedly at first and occasionally even now, was that 5 or 6 DC police officers died on January 6. That was a lie. No police officer died that day.
Then I heard that, ok, they didn’t die on that day, but they died because of that day. Again not one death can be proven. Tbe deaty on January 7 of Brian Sicknick turned out to be of natural causes. And as for the several suicides that occurred weeks/months afterwards? Hundreds of police officers commit suicide every year.
So, asking again: how come we have never seen the videos of all those ambulances. Or that list of those severely injured officers’ names and what specific injuries they sustained.
I will end by reminding you that the media which have stuck to this story for 4 years, told us for over 7 years that Trump called nazis and White supremacists “very fine people”, told us Trump said or suggested people inject bleach into their veins to fight Covid, and a bunch of other claims that all turned out to be easily provable lies.
