Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), who bills himself as “a congressman with guts”, is locked in a primary battle to run against Republican incumbent Senator Marco Rubio – one that the polls show him well behind in.

Rep. Alan Grayson’s ex-wife repeatedly went to police with accusations of domestic abuse over a two-decade period, according to documents she has provided to POLITICO, revelations that come as the Florida congressman enters the final weeks of his Democratic primary campaign for Senate.
Lolita Grayson called police on her husband at least two times in Virginia and two more times in Florida, sought medical attention on at least two occasions and said that, in one instance, he had threatened to kill her, according to a police report.
The congressman, who also asserted Lolita Grayson battered him in 2014, vehemently denies he engaged in any abuse during their 25-year marriage, which ended last year in a bitter annulment that she is now appealing.
The first reported incident described by the documents was in 1994, the final one was in 2014.

If the information provided by the former Ms. Grayson is accurate, she has provided an ongoing record of spousal abuse at the hands of Mr. Congressman With Guts. Just what we need in the Senate – not to mention the house…
….oh, did I mention the fact that Grayson’s new wife is running for his old seat?
What would Democrats say about a Republican Representative with this sterling record of marital bliss with wife #1, and wife #2 running for his soon-to-be-vacated house seat as if it were some kind of family heirloom?
Will they say the same about Grayson?
For this and many other reasons, I hope, on primary day, enough Florida Democrats are sufficiently repulsed by Alan Grayson to put him out to pasture, thus them out of the misery of having him represent them. And that goes for wife #2 as well.
