The Veterans Administration (VA) scandal has been major news for over a week. We now know that VA hospitals, run by the government (Secretary Eric Shinseki the top dog), are not just a mess, but a cesspool of corruption which has resulted in an unknown number of veterans dying before ever getting the treatment they need…as VA personnel figure out ways of cooking the data to make it seem as though everything is running just fine.
A question: in all this time, how many stories in the media – whether news reports, commentaries, panel discussions or any other forum – have touched on the premise that if this is the quality of government-run health care for veterans it might indicate the quality of government-run health care under ObamaCare?
Is this not a reasonable question to explore? Is it not a serious concern? Then why are mainstream media looking the other way?
Are they looking the other way for the same reason they have looked the other way on Operation Fast and Furious? The IRS scandal? Benghazi?
What is the common thread for all these scandals? Is it the administration in which they are occurring? Is that why so many in the media will not report these scandals, or even investigate them?
How deeply partisan must they be to work this hard at keeping the general public ignorant of these scandals?
Those are my questions. Do you have any explanation other than that a vast number of “journalists” are acting as an Accomplice Media, committed to providing cover for President Obama and his administration? Can you come up with any alternative explanation? If so, I\’d certainly like to know what it is.
