Today\’s quote comes to us from former Harvard Professor/current Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren,; aka “The Phantom Cherokee”, who is just one of the “little people” – at least that is what she would have you believe.
Here, from her recently-released book, “A Fighting Chance”, is how Warren positions herself:
“Washingtonworks for anyone who can hire an army of lobbyists and lawyers. Itjust doesn\’t work for regular families. They\’vegot the concentration of money and power that makes sure that everyrule works for those who are rich. What we have on the other side, iswe\’ve only got two things. We\’ve got our voices and we\’ve gotour votes. And we\’ve got to make sure we get heard. That\’s theonly way we ever get a level playing field.”
We? WE? Elizabeth Warren is telling us that she is on the outside, looking in, at people with money and power?
Holy excrement.
Want to know how much Elizabeth Warren is actually worth? Well, here is the latest disclosure form I can find – which is two years old. Look it over very closely, and you will see that, at that time, she earned over $700,000 a year, and her net worth was in the $10 – $15 million dollar range. Please also note that, since stocks have gone up enormously over the past two years, she probably is worth a lot more than that now.
Maybe the fact that, during the 2012 senate campaign, most mainstream media shamelessly gave Warren a free pass on her lies about being an American Indian, is what now emboldens her to pretend that she is just one of the folks, neither wealthy nor powerful, when she is so clearly both of those things. I don\’t know.
But I do know Elizabeth Warren is a liar of the first order. And since blatant, over-the-top lying is a qualifier for Quote Of The Day “honors”, I award them to The Phantom Cherokee today…with a fervent hope that her self-described financial situation being what it is, she can scrape enough cash together for meal and a warm bed tonight.
