Dan Gainor of the Media Research Center (MRC), has written a remarkable expose of how much money multi-billionaire Warren Buffet has given to groups whose major – often single most prolific – activity is providing abortions. The article has been put out by Fox News (who did you expect? NBC? CBS? ABC? CNN? MSNBC? Ok, you can stop laughing now.)
Here is a taste:
May13, 2014 marks one year since Philadelphia abortion Dr. KermitGosnell was convicted of first-degree murder “in the deaths ofthree babies who were delivered alive and then killed with scissorsat his grimy, \’house of horrors\’ clinic,” according to AP.Gosnell instantly became the face of abortion in in the prolifecommunity.
Butthere\’s another, more recognizable face pushing abortion in theU.S. – liberal billionaire Warren Buffett. The so-called “Oracleof Omaha” has donated more than $1.2 billion to abortionorganizations from 2001 to 2012.
Buffett\’sown charity, The SusanThompson Buffett Foundation, is named after his first wife whowas an abortionsupporter. Its domestic operation is led by pro-abortion activistTracyWeitz, Ph.D, MPA. Weitz has workedat Planned Parenthood, TheBixby Center for Global Reproductive Health and oncedefined abortion as “a moral action undertaken by moralagents.”
Noneof that is obvious from the charity\’s website…Thesite itself seems deliberately insular. Copyrights on the pages read”2008″ and the charity makes it clear: “The Buffett Foundationresponds to questions about College Scholarships and the AliceBuffett Outstanding Teacher Award only. We will not respond to anyother inquiries.”
Since2001, there has only been one tangential mention of Buffett\’ssupport for abortion on the broadcast TV network morning and eveningnews shows.
Is Warren Buffett entitled to fund any group he cares to? Yes, of course. Does he have the right to give about $100 million dollars a year to abortion-providing organizations – organizations that, as a matter of fact, abort a dramatically higher percentage of Black babies than their incidence in the population (almost 3 times as many)? Sure he does.
And do media have a right to look the other way, not reporting this use of Buffett\’s money or the percentage of Black babies it destroys in the wombs of their female carriers? Sure – just as they have the right to act on behalf of Democrats by attacking Charles and David Koch for every supposed transgression, real or imagined (and plenty of it is imagined).
Good little lapdogs do their masters\’ bidding, don\’t they?
Personally, my favorite line in Mr. Gainor\’s article is this one:
Ifyou give $1,000 to a ballot initiative to defend traditionalmarriage, that\’s controversial. If you give $1.25 billion topromote abortion, journalists, who are wildly pro-abortion, don\’tdare see any controversy.
Yep. You got that right, Dan.
Let me end by stating my own position on abortion:
– I support all contraception, both before pregnancy and, to a point, afterwards as well.
-I also support a woman\’s right to abort her pregnancy – until there is a beating heart and brain activity.
-Once there is a beating heart and brain activity, I consider there to be a live human being, and the “abortion” to be the killing of that live human being.
-In any event I do not understand why, in this day of cheap, easily available, contraception which can prevent pregnancy both before and after sexual activity has taken place, so many women are even in this position.
As you can see, I am neither “pro-life” (i.e. it is a baby at the point of conception) nor “pro-choice” (i.e. it is not a baby until it is born, so it can be aborted at any time during the pregnancy).
But what I most definitely am, is a believer that both sides of the story should be told, and that media should not willingly suppress who the major-league financiers are – on either side of the issue.
Is that asking too much?
Oh, one other thing: If Voter ID is condemned by Democrats, and their Accomplice media, because it supposedly suppresses the minority vote, why are they silent about the fact that Black women, who comprise about 13% of the USA\’s female population, have 36% of the abortions? Nothing suppresses a Black vote like an abortion.
I would love an answer to that question…but I doubt I\’ll ever get one.
