As I blogged yesterday, President Obama\’s Asian trip has been so great a failure that even the Obama-loving New York Times reported as much in a Page 1 lead story titled “Obama Suffers Setbacks in Japan and the Mideast.” – the first sentence of which was: President Obama encountered setbacks to two of his most cherished foreign-policy projects on Thursday, as he failed to achieve a trade deal that undergirds his strategic pivot to Asia and the Middle East peace process suffered a potentially irreparable breakdown.
So, since he had just been in Japan, the press corps (pronounced “core”, not “corpse”, Mr. President) were, of course, all over him about that blown trade agreement, right?
Excerpted from Andrew Johnson\’s blog at nationalreview.com:
InJapan on Friday, pool reporters inquired as to whether he\’sgetting enough sleep and whether he liked the Mount Fiji-shapedice-cream dessert he had at a dinner in Japan.
Perthe pool report:
Poolwas ushered to a hold area at the end of a hallway in the hotel, where Obama, after a false start, walked down the hall.
Askedby Julie Pace of the AP if he slept well, he said, “I\’m still on4 am time.”
Anotherreporter asked Obama if he like the ice cream dessert in the shape ofMt. Fuji served at the state dinner.
Obamanodded, saying, “They have the green tea at the bottom that I\’vespoken of having when I was six, and I was very pleased,” Obamasaid. “It was delicious.”
The only thing missing was a hard-hitting question asking Mr. Obama to compare the softness of Japanese and US toilet paper.
These people are not journalists. They are paid propagandists; Barack Obama\’s Accomplice Media, dedicated to having his back and covering his backside (maybe that\’s where the toilet paper question could have come in).
They are hopeless.
