Now that Vladimir Putin has shown his concern with Barack Obama\’s threats by doing exactly what Mr. Obama warned him not to do – with the blessing of China, which Putin clearly takes far more seriously than a Chicago machine politician with one foreign policy failure after another throughout his presidency….
….it apparently is again time for Mr. Obama to make a threat that we really can take seriously. Which means that he is threatening Israel.

President Barack Obama, issuing a veiled warning to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the eve of talks, said in an interview published on Sunday it would be harder for Washington to defend Israel against efforts to isolate it internationally if U.S.-led Middle East peace talks fail.
Obama, speaking to Bloomberg View, also made clear that he would press Netanyahu to allow him the time needed to test Iran\’s willingness to curb its nuclear ambitions, despite the Israeli leader\’s deep skepticism of the West\’s diplomatic engagement with Tehran.
Responding to the interview, a senior Israeli cabinet minister said the Netanyahu government was serious about peace but would not be pressured into endangering the Jewish state.
Obama said the “the window is closing” for a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians, and called on Netanyahu to “seize the moment” to help achieve a framework agreement that Secretary John Kerry is trying to forge to extend peace talks.
Obama said his message to Netanyahu in a White House meeting scheduled for Monday would be: “If not now, when? And if not you, Mr. Prime Minister, then who?”
Are you getting this? Do you follow?
President Obama is saying that it will be “harder to defend Israel” if Israel does not agree to the terms of Palestinian Arabs – which, since Palestinian Arabs are offering nothing at all, means wholly capitulating to the demands of people who have spent decades trying to obliterate the country and kill its Jews.
Oh, and he is also saying that Israel must give Iran more time, so he can gauge its “willingness to curb its nuclear ambitions” – after Iran, which has publicly proclaimed its intent to “wipe Israel off the face of the map”, has told Obama that he doesn\’t know what he\’s talking about and Iran did not agree to a thing he says it agreed to.
Does this make sense to you? Would it make sense to an average 3rd grader?
And to top off this lunacy, Obama quotes Rabbi Hillel to the Prime Minister of Israel.
When Hillel, a revered Rabbinical scholar and philosopher who lived around the time of Jesus, said “If Iam not for myself, who will be for me? And when I am for myself, whatam \’I\’? And if not now, when?”, he was talking about personal and spiritual self-preservation. But President Obama is using his words to suggest that Prime Minister Netanyahu sanction what amounts to Israel\’s self-imposed national and ethnic suicide.
Maybe Mr. Obama doesn\’t notice, or care about, the difference. But, fortunately for Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu does.
Meanwhile Vladimir Putin watches this circus and laughs…as he blithely ignores President Obama\’s warning, as if it had no meaning, no teeth at all.
This nightmare is scheduled to end on January 20, 2017. I only wish it were sooner.
