Jonathan Gruber, who was so instrumental in crafting ObamaCare, famously told us – multiple times in multiple forums – that he considered the American people “stupid”.
Apparently, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee intend to test that premise. Because, led by ranking member, Elijah Cummings, they are attacking Gruber as if he were a Republican operative, instead of their own guy.
Think of it as The Great Gruber Goober Ploy.
During today\’s hearings, Cummings said, among other things, that Gruber made “mean, absolutely stupid comments” that were “irresponsibly incredibly disrespectful”, “did not reflect reality” and were indeed insulting.”
We, the public, are expected to believe that Gruber was a disastrous pick of….someone else; someone other than the Democrats who, in fact, hired him and paid him millions of dollars for his work on ObamaCare – specifically on the economic model he has admitted was a flat-out lie.
We are further expected to believe it is sheer coincidence that the first we heard of Democrats\’ displeasure with Gruber occurred only after videos surfaced which made his offensive comments about us general knowledge.
Tell you what: people who buy this BS deserve every insult that Gruber, and now Democrats in general, have thrown their way.
They truly are Gruber Goobers.
