Today\’s quote comes from the successful Governor of new York, and unsuccessful candidate for this year\’s Republican presidential nomination, George Pataki.
Here is what Mr. Pataki has to say about Hillary Clinton\’s candidacy, and the prospects of a Michael Bloomberg third party run:
“People talk about the problems in the RepublicanParty, but I think Democrats have a bigger problem…“Hillary Clinton is cratering, the scandals just keepcoming. She has grave legal issues that could totally prevent her fromcontinuing her campaign, and the alternative is a self-avowed socialist who hasnever run anything.”
Mr. Pataki also went on to say that he would not be surprised if these circumstances prompted a Joe Biden or John Kerry jump in – presumably (this is me talking) to save the Democrat Party; maybe the country.
George Pataki wins Quote Of The Day honors because he is articulating a set of facts, and their logical consequences, in a way that few mainstream media venues are currently willing to do – either because they can\’t figure them out (which I do not believe) or because a great many of them can figure them out but do not want to damage the Democrat brand in a way that might help Republicans (which I do believe).
Regardless of the reasons, what Mr. Pataki is saying holds water. Lots of it.
With all the press about how bad the leading Republican candidates are, Democrats, due to Clinton\’s massive problems and Sanders\’ self-professed socialism, are in the crapper too….providing our wonderful “neutral” media report it, instead of burying the bad news and rolling out a red carpet for The Queen.
