TEHRAN (FNA)- 4 US inmates inIran, including Jason Rezaian, have been freed under a prisoners swap deal, Tehran\’sprosecutor announced Saturday afternoon.
“Based on an approval of the Supreme NationalSecurity Council (SNSC) and the general interests of the Islamic Republic, fourIranian prisoners with dual-nationality were freed today within the frameworkof a prisoner swap deal,” the office of Tehran prosecutor said.
Jason Rezaian, Amir Hekmat and Saeed Abedini wereAmerican-Iranian nationals who were jailed in Iran on various charges in recentyears.
According to the swap deal, the US has also freed 6Iranian-Americans who were held for sanctions-related charges.
Six more Iranians freed, to get four of our people who should never have been held in the first place, and who should have been freed already when the odious “deal” with Iran was implemented?
What else will we hand these terrorist murderers? Will President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry offer them a piece of Florida in return for the prisoners to be able to board the plane home?
There are no words to adequately define the disaster that is this administration.
I count the seconds until it is over.
