Rep. Trey Gowdy, who chairs the House Committee investigating the Benghazi massacre, has taken a lot of heat – most of it, as would be expected, from Democrats. But some from Republicans as well.
Mr. Gowdy pledged to conducted the hearings in closed-door sessions, and has held to that pledge.
And what is that learning?
Well, here, again from Ms. Westwood\’s article, is a taste:
Rep.Trey Gowdy, chairman of the House Select Committee onBenghazi, said Wednesday that a number of witnesses had confirmed a stand-downorder was given to military assets in proximity to Benghazi the night of the2012 terror attack, while others said no one issued such an order.
“The best I can do is tell you what the witnesses say,and then you can decide who you think is more credible,” Gowdy said duringan interview with Boston Herald Radio.
…Gowdynoted the Justice Department has been equally slow to prosecute Ahmed AbuKhatallah, the only Benghazi suspect taken into U.S. custody.
“I don\’t think a single Democrat has asked theDepartment of Justice why they haven\’t brought Khatallah to trial yet,” hesaid. “I haven\’t heard a single one complain about the amount of time thatit\’s taken the Department of Justice to bring the only person who\’s beenapprehended in connection with Benghazi to trial. So they\’re willing to give apass when their guys are doing an investigation; they do nothing but obstructwhen we\’re trying to do it.”
What happens when the general public finds out that witness after witness told the committee that there was a stand-down order….which means, either they are all a bunch of liars, every one of them, Hillary Clinton is the liar….and the cause of the massacre continuing for as long as it did, resulting in four American deaths.
And what happens when the general public finds out that the one suspect from that attack, which took place OVER THREE YEARS AGO, has not yet been brought to trial? What happens when the voters realize that mainstream media, the mainstream media they rely on for news, have not bothered to apprise them of this fact?
It won\’t be long until we find out, will it?
