THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Ken Berwitz

Today was the first day of Bill Clinton\’s stumping for his WINO (not a liquor reference, but the acronym for Wife In Name Only – which most people, even Clinton supporters, would probably concede by now).  And MSNBC\’s Andrea Mitchell caught up with him at his stop in Nashua, New Hampshire, long enough to ask a question.

Regardless of how you feel about the Clintons – whether you love, like, dislike or hate them – if you could ask Bill Clinton one question right now, it obviously would be his reaction to Donald Trump calling him a sexual abuser, and Ms. Clinton his enabler for all these years.

So, given the floor, with an opportunity to ask the question everyone talked about all weekend, and give him a chance to respond, what does Ms. Mitchell ask?

“Do you think Hillary can win this one?”

That\’s right.  You\’re reading it correctly.  The most golden of golden opportunities, and this hopeless Clinton adorer asks something so meaningless that one of Hillary\’s staged kid questions looks tough by comparison.

I won\’t insult your intelligence by telling you Mr. Clinton\’s answer, which an average 6 year old would know without even hearing it.

But I will award Andrea Mitchell Quote Of The Day honors – for showing that, if there were a contest to determine which media personality is most completely in the tank for Bill and Hill, she would be a definite finalist.

UPDATE:  When writing this blog, I was unaware that Ms. Mitchell asked a question which preceded “Do you think Hillary can win this one?”.  So, in fairness to her, allow me to post it now:

“Hello,Mr. President. How does it feel to be back in New Hampshire, which loves you?”

Did I say Andrea Mitchell was in the tank for Hill and Bill?  That didn\’t even come close to describing it.  She\’s not a reporter, she\’s a campaign operative.
