Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has died. The cause, as reported so far, is “a brief and sudden illness”, which tells us nothing.
According to South Carolina law, the Governor (Republican Henry McMaster) can appoint a replacement, who will serve until a new Senator is elected in November and takes office in January.
