Today’s quote comes to us from President Donald Trump.
Speaking to the press in Ankara, Turkey on Wednesday, the subject turned to Iran. And Trump, after touting our Iran action as a “tremendous military success” (fair enough) actually said this as well:
“They’re not going to have a nuclear weapon. Because we “denuclearized” Iran. And (because that happened) they’ll never have a nuclear weapon.
“If we wouldn’t have had that, they would have had a nuclear weapon and they would have wiped out Israel. If I weren’t President, Israel wouldn’t exist…”
Well, there you have it folks. Donald Trump is the only reason Israel even exists. Hey, it must be true. I mean, he said it, didn’t he? Israel, which has staved off annihilation for the past 78 years and through the terms of 14 different presidents, couldn’t have made it without him.
Is there any way someone can figure out to muzzle this man?
Has there ever been a President – a non-President – anyone at all – more narcissistic, more self-congratulatory, more egomaniacal than he is?
I award Donald Trump Quote Of The Day honors for setting yet another new standard in narcissism/self-congratulation/egomania – something I would have thought near impossible, but there it is. And don’t be surprised if he exceeds even this example in the near future.
