Iran no longer has a navy. Or an air force. Other than the drone attacks and small-boat activity in the Strait of Hormuz, it has little in the way of any kind of offense. And – now it actually seems like a real possibility – its “leadership” may be on the verge of capitulating to our demands.
But, despite these successes many – most, actually – of our media see only the negative elements of our action there.
And virtually none of them are reporting about what an amazing success, so far, our action in Venezuela has been.
Until we removed nicolás maduro – and essentially gave over control of the country to his second in command, Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez – Venezuela had degenerated from a peaceful, atypically prosperous South America country to a toilet.
Despite its enormous oil reserves and (until Maduro) strong industrial and tourism industries, it had degerated into a snake pit with no freedoms, no jobs and no hope. Millions of Venezuelans, understandably, had fled the country.
But now?
With Ms. Rodríguez backed up by the military, and accepting of United States influence, the country is making a remarkable comeback. Thousands of political prisoners have been released from jails. Inflation – which was beyond enormous under maduro – while still ridiculously high, is down dramatically and headed down further. More oil is being produced and sold, benefitting the country’s economy. And, as an extra added attraction, Venezuela is no longer propping up what is left of Cuba, which may cause that country’s cataclysmically disastrous communst regime to fall.
Every day we can find out on TV and read in our print media the negative issues still pervading our military action in Iran. But how many broadcast and print articles have you seen about what has happened in Venezuela?
Any at all?
Then they wonder why fewer and fewer people trust them?????
You’re kidding, right?
