Let’s start with what I assume is something we all agree on. the Arab countries in the Persian Gulf – Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, etc. – would rather that Iran was not hitting them with missiles and drones.
That said, what does it tell you about the degree of control Iran has excersized in this part of the world until now. What does it tell you about how these countries’ policies must have been attuned to what they perceived as the Iranian threat?
But now that President Trump, along with Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu, are intensely involved in taking out those threats,…
…is there any doubt that these countries – which would have feared Iran and, policy-wise, acted accordingly until now – have a different outlook?
And is there any doubt that the Trump/Netanyahu decimation of Iran’s offensive capabilities has liberated these countries to openly defy the murderers of Tehran…
…and, at least by implication, to make nice with Israel as well as the United States, which could dramatically improve prospects for peace and tranquility in the Middle East?
Tell me: does that count as a positive benefit of our action in Iran? (I thought I would end this blog with an easy question).
