Today’s quote comes to us from CBS “newsperson” Ed O’Keefe.
During yesterday’s press briefing, this – so help me – is the actual question O’Keefe posed to White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt:
“In his statement about Jesse Jackson, the president said ‘Despite the fact that I am falsely inconsistently called a racist by the scoundrels and lunatics on the radical left, Democrats all, it was always my pleasure to help Jesse along the way.’ Where or when does the President believe he has been falsely called racist?”
Where or when does the President believe he as been falsely called racist??????
what is Ed O’Keefe trying to convince us of? Democrats don’t call Trump a racist (which they do virtually every day, or that they are all correct in doing so (would that include the claim that when he supports the SAVE Act he supports “jim crow 2”?)
Ms. Leavitt’s reaction to this genuinely astonishing question? “You’re kidding, right?”…as a good many in the briefing room spontaneously broke out in laughter – either at the stunned reaction by Leavitt, the idiocy of the question, or both.
Leavitt then went on to detail a number of things that Trump has done to benefit Black citizens, then promised to provide O’Keefe with a list of false accusations of racism (which I assume she provided: since I can do that without any problems, I could, I assume she can as well).

I award Ed O’Keefe Quote Of The Day “honors” for asking what might well be the most ridiculous question of the year…which, given the, er, quality of our media these days, is no small feat.
