Building on his record of abject failure, first in the city of San Francisco – which has gone from being a world class tourist attraction to a scary dump with closing stores, bankrupt malls and streets laden with used drug needles and human feces…
…here is the latest “accomplishment he has provided as Governor of the state of California, via Tran Nguyen’s article for the (usually left wing-friendly) Associated Press:
California will face a projected $18 billion deficit next year, setting up a challenge for Gov. Gavin Newsom to safeguard some of the progressive policies that have defined his tenure as he considers a presidential run.
The nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office projected the shortfall in a report released Wednesday. It would mark the state’s fourth deficit in a row. State spending continues to grow much faster than revenues, and new federal policy changes to health care and food assistance programs for low-income people will also increase costs for the state by $1.3 billion, the report says.
He already had to roll back a signature health care program last year in the face of a $12 billion deficit, dealing a major blow to state Democrats’ priority of providing universal health care. The ambitious state-funded program started in 2024 to provide free health care to immigrants living in California regardless of their legal status. Those without legal status will no longer be eligible to enroll in the program starting next year, and some will have to start paying a premium in 2027.
An 18 billion dollar budget deficit in one year? Holy excrement…and I do NOT mean excrement.
Where did the money go?
It certainly didn’t go to helping anyone in The Palisades, where thousands of homes, businesses, etc. lay in ruins due to astonishing lack of preparation (think water supply and gross mismanagement).
It certainly didn’t help the public education system, which is a mega-disaster.
It certainly didn’t go to programs that would convince productive Californians to stay there/not to flee to other states….given that California now loses rather than gains population every year for the first time in its history.
So where did the money go?
Ask Guy Smiley Gavin Newsom, and he’ll flash that great-looking smile, with that well-gelled, beautifully coiffed hair, and tell you………….
…….nothing. Because he has yet to explain why so much money is producing so little for the state that he is in charge of.
That is the Gavin Newsom record, in all its, er, “glory”.
And that isn’t the only bad news about him either.
Let me finish by pointing out that, as of now, 2028’s most talked about possible Democrat presidential candidate is…Gavin Newsom.
And to make matters even worse, the next most talked about possible candidate is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: a mind-numbingly ignorant, loudmouthed hard-left congressperson who has accomplished absolutely nothing in that position and is, if anything, an even worse choice than Newsom.
Do Democrats have a problem in 2028? That’s like asking if Gladys Knight has Pips. Some things just answer themselves.
