Today’s quote comes to us from Senator Chuck Schumer.
Today’s attack on one Republican or another (a day barely goes by when he misses the chance) was leveled at Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Here is what Schumer attacked him on:
“Under your tutelage as Secretary, you have undermined vaccines, gutted public health funding, and dismantled core federal protections meant to keep Americans safe.
“You have walked our country into the nation’s largest measles outbreak in 33 years.”
Fascinating.
Want to know about that “largest measles outbreak in 33 years” that Kennedy is supposed to have walked the country into?
The total number of measles cases in the entire United States? So far, 1,288 nationwide…in a country with about 350 million people. Almost 90% are centered in Texas and New Mexico. and a large percentage of them were in Mennonite communities which, for religious reasons, reject vaccines.
This is a large national outbreak? Yeah, ok. Sure, Chuck. Very logical.
I award Chuck Schumer Quote Of The Day “honors” for staying true to form: a partisan hack who has no problem lying to our faces for political reasons.
Why anyone would trust this hopeless joke is beyond my ability to understand.
