Today’s quote comes to us from that noted deepthinker, Joy Behar.
On Friday, in her capacity as a regular on ABC’s The View, Ms. Behar had this to say about reports that the Democrat Party is spending $20 million dollars to determine how to speak to men:
“You know what I think? I think it’s a waste of money. Maybe these guys should spend their money on teaching men to not be such sexists.”
Yes, she actually said that. And the amen chorus audience, happy with any hard-left position touted by The View’s members, enthusiastically applauded.
So a sarcastic stereotype of an entire group is just fine to Behar and her me-too audience.
I wonder what they would say if a hard-right commentator, to cheering applause said “Maybe they should spend their money on teaching women not to be such bitches”, or on teaching Irish people not to drink so much. Or on teaching Jews not to be so cheap. Or on teaching Black people not to be so violent.
Hey, if you’re going to negatively stereotype entire groups, why stop at men?
I award Joy Behar Quote Of The Day “honors” for demonstrating that the left she, and her similarly hard-left pals, are not averse to insulting stereotypes. Just the ones they disagree with.
