Until this past week I barely ever heard of Monica McIver. I had a vague recollection that she was a congressperson from New Jersey, and that’s about it.
But now I know more about her. And, sad to say, one of the things I know very cleary is that she is the embodiment of some of the ugliest stereotypes that racists ascribe to Black people in general.
Here is the video of McIver, protesting at an ICE facility in New Jersey (she is against illegals being treated as illegals, you see). And, in the course of that protest physically pushing/assaulting an ICE officer and screaming profanely at him:
What a joyous event this must be for racists everywhere; an overweight Black woman with a big, dirty mouth getting physical instead of talking/reasoning, and showing nothing but disdain for legal authority.
I hope Monica McIver is proud of herself for “confirming”, to people who hate based on skin color, that they have a point.
But what a sad, tragic event it is for me – and, I hope, you – who judge people as individuals, not skin colors.
Some of the best people I have ever met are Black. Monica McIver – based on her behavior, not her skin color – is a pig.
