HYPOTHETICAL CRIMINALITY, REAL CRIMINALITY, AND A PATHETIC POINT ABOUT OUR MEDIA

Suppose someone who worked in the administration of, say, a Republican conservative Governor, was caught doing $20,000 worth of damage to six different people’s property to make a political point.

And suppose the state’s Attorney General, who won election in no small part due to the heavy donations from a far right billionaire, decided no criminal charges would be pursued against this person.

Do you think mainstream media would be reporting on this?  Do you think they would be commenting on how outrageous it was for someone politically connected to a Republican conservative Governor to get a free pass on multiple criminal offenses?

Me too.

Now please read this, from Cristina Laila’s article at thegatewaypundit.com (but, based on looking at the first five full pages on google, NOT reported by ABC, CBS, NBC, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, etc. etc. etc.)

Soros-backed Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty will not seek criminal charges for the Tim Walz staffer who vandalized at least six Teslas in Minnesota, causing $20,000 in damage.

The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office will seek “diversion” rather than criminal charges.

Last week, TGP reported that a fiscal policy analyst for Minnesota Governor (and failed VP candidate) Tim Walz’s administration was caught on camera vandalizing a Tesla.

Dylan Bryan Adams, 33, was caught on camera keying a Tesla while walking his dog.

The Minneapolis Police Department blasted the HCAO (Hennepin County Attorney’s Office) in a statement to Fox 9:

“The Minneapolis Police Department did its job. It identified and investigated a crime trend, identified, and arrested a suspect, and presented a case file to the Hennepin County Attorney Office for consideration of charges. This case impacted at least six different victims and totaled over $20,000 in damages. Any frustration related to the charging decision of the Hennepin County Attorney should be directed solely at her office. Our investigators are always frustrated when the cases they poured their hearts into are declined. In my experience, the victims in these cases often feel the same.”

George Soros dumped hundreds of thousands of dollars into Mary Moriarty’s campaigns.

Asking again:  if this were a staffer for a Republican conservative Governor, and the right wing-supported Attorney General gave him a free pass, is there any doubt this would be reported and condemned early and often?

The most amazing part of this story, to me, is not the outrageous treatment being afforded this Walz staffer.

The most amazing part to me is that there still are media people who don’t understand why fewer and fewer people trust them.
