The “I don’t like Elon Musk so I’ll damage somebody else’s Tesla” hatred initiative continues. Here, from Shomari Stone’s article for Fox News’s DC affiliate, is the latest example:
D.C. police have arrested two suspects accused of damaging several Teslas in Northeast.
The suspects turned themselves in on Thursday. They’ve been identified as 49-year-old Justin Fisher and 50-year-old Emily Fisher from Northeast.
The duo is charged with several counts of defacing public or private property.
They’re both accused of writing political hate speech on five different Teslas over the past month in Northeast D.C.
The phrases included “I like what Musk is doing,” “ask me about my support of Nazis,” “Let’s do away with the administrative state! Buy a Tesla,” “I love Musk and hate the Fed Govt” and “Go DOGE. I support Musk killing the Dept. of Education.”
Lovely. Just lovely.
Incidentally, these two are not just a couple of uneducated street people. According to other accounts, justin fisher is a former employee of the Government Accountability Office and emily fisher was the chief strategy officer at the Smart Electric Power Alliance.
And they weren’t even bothering to spare their neighbors. All of the incidents (one account says justin fisher was on the hook for 8 Tesla defacements, not 5) took place within about a 10 block radius of their home.
I wonder if these geniuses ever considered the fact that the vast majority of Teslas were purchased prior to anyone knowing Elon Musk would hook up with Donald Trump. Or that their neighbors – the ones whose vehicles they defaced – probably bought their Teslas simply because they wanted to do the environment some good and go “green”. Or that the Tesla owners whose cars they damaged might also dislike Musk. Or that, regardless of their political attitudes it is the Tesla owners/their neighbors, not Musk, whose cars were damaged and who would have to pay to repair them.
But, then again, what does it matter? Hatred is hatred. So the damage was done. And when it comes to hatred, the hard left in this country takes a back seat to no one.
So now justin and emily fisher will “pay the price”. I put that in quotation marks because this is Washington D.C. – aka 90%-voted-against-Trumpville. So their “punishment “might well be little more than a stern warning and some community service.
I only hope it is a lot more severe than that. Because it should be.
