Today, al green (D-TX) was censured by the House Of Representatives because of his outburst during Tuesday’s speech by President Trump and his refusal to stop screaming until he was removed from the chamber.
As the censure was announced, green, who is Black, led dozens of his Democrat colleagues in singing “We Shall Overcome” – an anthem dedicated to fairness and equality for Black people.
Are they trying to convince us that green’s removal from floor – based 100% on his behavior, not his skin color – was RACIST?????????????
Not only is this demonstrably ridiculous, but it terribly demeans the meaning and message of that song.
And it is being played out not in closed quarters, but right out there where everyone can see it.
Do they think demeaning We Shall Overcome this way is going to help their party? Do they think this somehow generates sympathy for green – a safe-seat Democrat with a virtually non-existent record of accomplishment who would not be missed at all if he left congress?
Have these people gone insane?
