TRUMP AND BIDEN: A TELLING COMBINATION OF STATISTICS

First statistic:  the near perfect record of mainstream media attacking Donald Trump’s decisions when filling his cabinet.

From Bill D’Agostino’s article at newsbusters.org:

While polling demonstrates a majority of Americans approve of President-elect Trump’s handling of the transition process, the coverage by broadcast networks ABC, CBS, and NBC has been almost uniformly negative. In addition to a whopping 96 percent negative tilt across their flagship evening newscasts, these networks also appear to have paid the most attention to cabinet nominees who appeared to have the highest chances of sinking.

MRC analysts examined all coverage of Trump’s cabinet appointees on ABC, CBS, and NBC’s evening newscasts from December 1 through December 14. The study primarily focused on Trump’s intended Defense Secretary (Pete Hegseth), FBI Director (Kash Patel), and Director of National Intelligence (Tulsi Gabbard), though it also included the other sparsely-discussed appointments. Throughout the two week period, Trump’s nominees earned a combined total of just over one full hour: 60 minutes and 47 seconds.

Networks Were Uniformly Negative On All But The Most-Covered Nominee

Across all three networks, the coverage of Gabbard, Patel, and the handful of other nominees mentioned was entirely negative. Only Pete Hegseth, who received the lion’s share of the airtime, enjoyed a scant four positive evaluative statements, all of which cited his mother describing him as “redeemed” and “a changed man.

Ok, now that we know Donald Trump’s post-election decisions on cabinet members are getting virtually nothing but negative coverage by the networks, how is the public reacting to the incoming Trump administration; the one that is being mercilessly flayed by the three major networks?

From Charlotte Scott’s article at spectrumnew1.com:

WASHINGTON — President-elect Donald Trump is riding high. Marquette Law School’s first poll since the November election shows Trump with his highest approval rating since March at 53%.

“I think Trump is getting a little bit of a winner’s bump,” said Charles Franklin, director of the Marquette Law School Poll. “People seem to be a little more favorable to him. They seem to think his job approval was a little better, and they’re giving him somewhat of the benefit of the doubt on his cabinet appointees.”

Conversely, the poll shows President Joe Biden has his lowest approval rating. Only 34% of adults approve of his job performance, while 66% disapprove.

“With Biden, I think this is the culmination of a year-long fall in approval, culminating in him dropping out of the presidential race, and now here at the end, his approval is quite low,” Franklin said. “Also, there’s a very large percentage, 71 percent, who disapprove of his pardon of Hunter Biden.”

Hmmmm, interesting combination of statistics, wouldn’t you say?

Trump – who the networks negatively assaulted daily during the entire campaign, with their assault continuing unabated after he won the election, is now at his highest approval rating in almost a year…

…while Joe Biden, whose cognitive decline was largely hidden by the networks until his debate performance made it impossible to do so – and then was both sympathized with, and hailed for his benificence in turning over the candidacy to Kamala Harris – is at the lowest approval rating of his entire presidency.

What does that tell you about the decline of impact these three networks have?  How much lower it is than even just a few years ago?

The answer:  plenty, and then some.

I wonder when they’ll catch on.  When they’ll start trying to regain their credibility by providing more fair/evenhanded political coverage, instead feeding viewers a daily dose of Democrat/”woke” propaganda posing as news.

I, of course, don’t know the answer to that question.  But I sure as eff know it hasn’t happened yet.
