Daniel Penny, the young man who restrained jordan neely, a drugged-up lunatic/serial lawbreaker when he threatened violence against riders in a New York City subway train and who ultimately died, had the charge of 2nd degree manslaughter dismissed on Friday (hung jury)…
…and, today, has been found innocent of the lesser charge, criminally negligent homicide as well.
This is a case that never should have been brought to trial. But we are talking about Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, so the fact that it was is no surprise at all.
Now what’s Bragg going to do? Invent a charge of some kind out of thin air, the way he has for Donald Trump? I doubt it in this case, but would not be shocked if it were to happen.
Another sickening chapter in what passes for Manhattan law enforcement is now in the books.
So how do you think the million dollar lawsuit filed by neely’s opportunistic father will go? Before you laugh at the prospect that he could win a dime, remember: we’re still talking about Manhattan and Alvin Bragg.
