JIHAD TERRORISM: A RIGHT WING PLOT (????)

It is impossible to overstate the insanity of what you are about to read.

The following excerpts from Chauncy Devega\’s article at hard-left salon.com were presumably written with a straight face, and were “logical” enough to pass through whatever filters salon.com has and find their way onto the web site:

Real terror unfolds in Paris.Perhaps this will convince the right to tone down their incessant violentrhetoric

 In the United States, the right-wing media and movementconservatives have for decades consistently used eliminationist and otherviolent rhetoric to describe liberals, progressives and other people with whomthey disagree. As was seen in the recent attacks on a Charleston-area black church,and other violence by right-wing anti-government militias, such rhetoric doesnot float in the ether of the public discourse, harmless and unacknowledged.No, it does in fact lead to action.

In recent months, the right-wing media has used language such as “terrorism“ and “violent,” or that the latter is “targeting police for murder” to describe the Black Lives Matter movement. Suchbombastic and ugly screeds-which are wholly unfounded, with no basis inempirical reality-have also been used by right-wing opinion leaders to describethe African-American students who are fighting against racism at Yale and theUniversity of Missouri.

There are many examples of this type of incendiary rhetoric fromconservatives and their sympathizers.

Real terrorists havekilled people in the streets of Paris. The right-wing media needs to take noteof that fact and moderate their rhetoric and abusive language accordingly.

Given the Americanright-wing\’s casual habit of using violent language to describe their foes, andto gin up fear and anxiety among the movement conservative base, the Fox News\’ right-wing echo chamber and its elites should be ashamed given the death anddestruction that terrorism actually reaps in practice..

Got that?  

This was not an terrorism by radical islam in which well over 100 innocent people were killed in Paris for the “crime” of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. This has nothing to do with ISIS, which quickly took responsibility/credit for the attacks.  

Nope.  This was just a consequence of right-wingers in the United States, who dare to attack the #blacklivesmatter group as, among other things, people who want cops dead…which has “no basis in empirical reality” (marching in the street chanting “pigs in a blanket, let \’em fry”, or “What do we want” “Dead Cops” “When do we want them” “Now”?  Irrelevant\’n\’immaterial).

At jihadwatch.com, Robert Spencer starts his commentary with this paragraph:

The American Left is beyondparody. Apparently Salon would have us believe that the Paris jihad massacrehappened because “the right wing media” criticized the Black LivesMatter movement. Islamic jihad? Warfare against unbelievers? The IslamicState\’s stated imperative to murder French civilians? Only greasy Islamophobestake such things seriously: everyone knows Fox News and Ben Carson are the realculprits!

Exactly.

This is what it has come to.  The answer to every issue, every problem, every attack, is that the “right-wing” exists and dares to have an opinion other than what the prevailing left is telling us.  

And who is the “right-wing”?  For the most part, it seems to define as anyone to the right of the hard-left.  Which – as our mainstream media are so fond of not telling us because they fear the wrath of the Salon & friends crowd – is a hefty majority of the population.

As long as we let these people – these narrow, intolerant, hate-filled, irrational people (yes, that\’s exactly what they say about most of us) – have the run of our media, and/or our universities, and/or some of our pandering, useless politicians, we will be in big trouble.  

As Hillary Clinton\’s and Bernie Sanders\’ enthusiastic support for the #blacklivesmatter racists shows, they already have largely taken over the Democrat Party.

Time for sanity to make a comeback.
