Byron Donalds, a Republican, has just won his third term representing Florida’s 19th House district.
Donalds is a highly intelligent man and a compelling speaker who, prior to winning political office, had a successful career in finance. And he is a political conservative who strongly supported Donald Trump’s presidential bid.
Yet, extremely surprisingly, Trump has not appointed him to any post – at least not as of this moment.
Trump has, however, selected Florida Senator Marco Rubio to serve as Secretary Of State. and Rubio’s Senate approval appears to be a foregone conclusion…
…which opens that Senate seat for Republican Governor Ron DeSantis to fill.
Is this soon-to-be-empty senate seat the reason Rep. Donalds has been kept available?
