Today’s quote comes to us from someone I do not know, but who uses the Twitter/X name “Bad Hombre”.
Bad Hombre posted the results of the Wall Street Journal’s just published poll, which shows Donald Trump ahead in the national popular vote by 3% (49%-46%) – a truly stunning development, given that a) in his three presidential runs he has never, to my knowledge, led in any national poll until now and b) given that Trump has always underperformed relative to these polls, the true disparity is probably several points larger.
Bad Hombre’s reaction?
“New WSJ poll shows Trump leading in the popular vote by 3%. Tomorrow you can expect Kamala to tell us how Trump grabbed her ass in a Bergdorf Goodman, while reciting quotes from Mein Kampf in perfect German.”
How funny is that? Bad Hombre’s reaction combines several of the many unproven, unsubstantiated, unevidenced claims that have been made about Trump over the years with a parody of the ridiculous, and apparently unimpressive/ineffective, ways Kamala Harris is trying to attack him.
I didn’t expect that, and it made me laugh.
