How far is the Associated Press prepared to go in its advocacy of ObamaCare?
Tom Blumer, at newsbusters.org, gives us a first-hand idea. Here are a few excerpts (along with a strong suggestion that you use this link and read it all, because there\’s a lot more):
Add Arizona\’s MeritusHealth Partners to the growing list of Affordable Care Act co-op failures. TheDaily Signal reports that this makes 11 of 23 such state Obamacare co-ops whichwill have closed their doors by the end of 2015 after three or fewer years inoperation.
The Associated Press, which, along with most of the rest of the establishment press, has been playingaggressive defense on behalf of Obamacare since its passage and especiallysince Barack Obama\’s reelection in 2012, has no coverage of Meritus\’s crackupat its main national or “Big Story” site. Beyond that…the AP\’s local stories about Meritus highlighted itsassociation with ACA/Obamacare when things appeared to be going well, andburied it when they went south.
Blumer goes on to just how the Associated Press did it – which, again, is why I urge you to use the link and read his entire blog.
ObamaCare is falling to pieces – with half the co-oops shut down, bleeding money, only about half the sign-ups that we were told there would be, and huge increases in the premiums. But mainstream media are barely even putting it on the radar.
Why? All I see is massive Obama-love, causing an inability to accept the fact that his vaunted ObamaCare legislation, which most media venues did little but co-promote, is a borderline disaster…and still swirling downward toward the full monty.
What does it take for our media to honestly report about this?
I have no answer for you.
