Today’s quote comes to us from Donald Trump Jr.
It relates to the fact that ryan wesley routh, his father’s would-be assassin wrote a letter stating…
“This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you…I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.”
…which the Department Of Justice – which presumably has an interest in protecting presidential candidates, even Donald Trump, was helpful enough (for the people who wish Trump dead) to make public.
Mr. Trump Jr’s reaction?
“For the life of me, I do not understand why the Kamala-Biden DOJ is publicly releasing a letter from Ryan Wesley Routh announcing a $150,000 bounty on my dad’s head. They’re putting his life even more at risk with this reckless decision.”
Mr. Trump wins Quote Of The Day honors for correctly pointing out that this puts his father’s like even more at risk…
…and dishonors for (in my opinion) lying when he says he doesn’t understand why this formerly-great, but now fully-compromised arm of government did so.
I believe he has a strong suspicion of exactly why the DOJ did so. And (how I wish I didn’t feel this way) there are good reasons for him to have that suspicion.
