THE DEBATE: DID KAMALA HARRIS “WIN” IT?

Donald Trump lost the debate to Kamala Harris.  Everyone says so.  I know that because I watched and read mainstream media’s reaction to it, and read the flash polls conducted immediately afterwards (before there was much discussion of its obvious 3-against-1 structure).

Funny thing, though…

According to Newsweek (certainly no fan of Trump’s):

According to ABC News’ TikTok page, in which Trump’s and Harris’ closing statements were uploaded three days ago, video of the former president’s closing statement has 24.7 million views with 1.7 million likes as of Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, a video of the vice president’s closing statement has 4.7 million views with over 220,000 likes.

In response to the amount of TikTok views, in an emailed statement to Newsweek, Trump’s communications director Steven Cheung, took aim at Harris, stating, “Everybody knows Kamala Harris has nothing to offer America, which is why President Trump has all the momentum and the people of America standing with him as he returns to the White House.”

Hmmm.  Almost 6 times as many views and almost 8 times as many “likes”.

Say, isn’t TikTok the go-to website for young voters?  The one so many of them prefer to mainstream news venues?

And then there is the fact that Harris is now clamoring for a second debate – a risk which, if her internal polling (which, I would assume, concentrates on the specific swing states that will determine this election rather than meaningless national data) showed a positive result from the first one, there is no chance in the world she’d be willing to take.

Y’know, a fella just might consider these factors and come to the conclusion that her people – national media and national polling notwithstanding – have concluded that she didn’t win that debate at all.
