Today’s quote comes to us from Vice President/Presidential hopeful Kamala Harris.
After 18 days (the entire amount of time since Joe Biden was dumped as the Democrats’ presidential candidate, thus obliterating the choice of 14 – 15 million primary voters) without allowing a single interview, Ms. Harris was gracious enough to answer a couple of questions from the tarmac where her plane was.
One of them had to do with when, if ever, she was going to submit to an actual sit-down interview.
Her answer?
“I’ve talked to my team. I want us to get an interview scheduled before the end of the month.”
That was yesterday, August 8. There are 23 days – about 3 1/2 weeks – to the end of August. Add in the 18 days she has ducked all interviews/press conferences already, and you have 41 days – one day shy of 6 weeks.
So Kamala Harris is telling us that, in about 6 weeks, while running for the presidency of the United States, she might – no guarantees, but she’s working it out with her team – provide a single interview.
If Donald Trump declined interviews this way, how long do you think it would take for mainstream media to come down on him? Demand that, as a presidential candidate, he owes the country an explanation of where he is on issues/what he thinks about current events/what he would do as President to address them? Would it take more than a day or two?
I award Kamala Harris Quote Of The Day “honors” for both showing us that she dreads having to expose her views/explain herself to voters, and for doing so with the apparent confidence – presumably based on years of experience – that she will not be called to account for it by our supposedly neutral media.
