Today’s quote comes to us from CNN commentator – and certainly no fan of Donald Trump – Chris Cillizza.
Here, via a twitter/X post, is what Mr. Cillizza has to say about Kamala Harris’s media accessibility level:
“Kamala Harris has been the de facto presidential nominee for 2 weeks now.
“In that time, as best as I can tell, she has done zero media interviews and held zero press conferences (or even taken random questions from reporters).”
Cillizza couldn’t bring himself to state the inevitable, negative conclusion about Harris’ complete blackout of all media for two weeks (and still counting). But that conclusion is pretty implicit, isn’t it?
Simply stated, Kamala Harris has found a way to redefine/expand the term ” you can run but you can’t hide”. In Harris’s case it is “you can run for President and you can hide from media, as long as they look the other way and let you”.
I award Chris Cillizza Quote Of The Day honors for doing nothing other than not looking the other way…but, given his politics and that of his employer, must have been hard to do so publicly.
Now, let’s see if Harris continues to duck media scrutiny (except for media which are sure to suck up to her) and, if she does, if Chris Cillizza, and other media people, seriously hold her to account for it.
