Here is my summation of Joe Biden’s speech in one sentence:
“I have been an astoundingly great President, I have done more for than just about any President in history, I am physically and mentally in tip-top shape, until a few days ago I was 1000% – not 100% but 1000% in the race for re-election…so I’ve decided (no one forced me out, you see) to pass the torch to Kamala Harris. Have a nice evening.”
If you believe this you are beyond hope.
Here is the real sentence, the one Biden didn’t tell you:
“I am a cognitive mess, everyone around me knows it and, with copious help from our compromised media have done their best to hide it from you, but the debate made it so plain that they couldn’t hide it anymore so they gave me the bum’s rush because if I stayed as the candidate I would not only lose, I would take down a bunch of other Democrats with me.”
The result? Without so much as a primary vote or an opportunity to pick someone else at the sham convention next month (and, yes, this is the party that says they’re preserving democracy), Democrat kingmakers (queenmakers, actually) have summarily made Kamala Harris their candidate.
And, as pointed out in the next blog, they are desperately trying to clean up her far-left positions and lack of any accomplishments so that she might be palatable to voters.
Will it work?
Well, it helps a lot that she is running against the unbridled ego and nonstop mouth of Donald Trump. But, unlike Harris, he can point to a record as President – in which we had, among other things, a tiny fraction of the inflation we’ve endured under Biden/Harris and serious efforts to close the border.
To say Democrats are in trouble is to say the rainforest is damp.
