AHMED MOHAMED: ADDITION BY SUBTRACTION

Ken Berwitz

The expression “addition by subtraction” was, I believe, coined by the great baseball executive Branch Rickey, to describe situations where getting rid of a player improved rather than diminished the team.

I couldn\’t help thinking about that when I read this excerpt from Jordan Schachtel\’s article at breitbart.com:

Ahmed Mohamed, a14-year-old teenager who rose to fame after he brought a disassembled clockthat looked like a bomb into class, is moving to the Islamic supremacist nationof Qatar.

The Mohamed family announced Tuesday:

After carefulconsideration of all the generous offers received, we would like to announcethat we have accepted a kind offer from Qatar Foundation for Education, Scienceand Community Development (QF) for Ahmed to join the prestigious QF YoungInnovators Program, which reflects the organization\’s on-going dedication toempowering young people and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity.

Notably, thefoundation sponsoring Mohamed\’s residency in Qatar has been accused of funding thePalestinian terrorist group Hamas; leading the world famous soccer teamBarcelona to dump its sponsorshipdeal with QF in 2014

Last night, Mohamedhad the pleasure of meeting President Barack Obama at the WhiteHouse for Astronomy night.

“I\’m going to talk tohim [Obama] about, like, how hard it is growing up in America,” Mohamed toldYahoo before meeting the President. “It was pretty hard living in America andgoing to school being Muslim.”

Before finally embracing the U.S. President, Mohamedtraveled to the dictatorial nations of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Sudan, whereits genocidal autocratic leader, Omar al-Bashir, is wanted by the InternationalCriminal Court for war crimes charges.

The teenager has oftenaccused America of being a racist nation.

“If I was a Caucasianmale, I\’m pretty sure I wouldn\’t have gotten arrested,” Mohamed opined duringhis Yahoo.com interview.

Let\’s see:

ahmed mohamed, is a fake, phony, fraud (hat tip to the late Bob Grant) who brought a “disassembled clock” – actually a 30 or so year old Radio Shack Micronta model – to school in a case that made it look like a homemade bomb, showing it around the school until it got maximum attention.  Then, out of fear that something looking for all the world like a bomb might actually be one, this poor, set-upon child was — detained for oh, a couple of hours until it was determined that it was not going to explode and kill/mutilate his classmates, then released.  What a nightmare.

And what has this gotten ahmed mohamed?

-he has become an international celebrity – even after it became eminently clear that he was a fake, phony, fraudulent hoaxster,

-he has met with notables from several of the most repressive countries on planet earth – countries with leaders who either kill their own people by the hundreds of thousands (Sudan) or fund and promote international terrorism (Sudan – his self-professed home country, Saudi Arabia and Qatar),

-he has been a guest of President Obama in the White House – to virtually no criticism by Obama\’s fawning media acolytes,

-he has declared that he was mistreated for bringing his bomb-lookalike “invention\’ to school because he is a muslim,

-and now he will leave the USA to go to terrorist-supporting Qatar – a country which, along with Saudi Arabia and Sudan, punishes apostasy (i.e. converting from the Muslim faith) with death.
The sooner this fake, phony, fraudulent hoaxster leaves the USA, the better off the USA will be.  And we can only hope that his publicity-hound father – who, for all we know, put him up to this – goes right along with him.

But I cannot end this blog without major congratulations to our media – most of which jumped on the “he\’s a Muslim so he was discriminated against” bandwagon before knowing what actually happened, and now are ignoring the fact that this is a 100% bogus story because to admit as much would embarrass them – might even make people think twice before believing what they see on TV, hear on the radio and read in the newspapers.
Thank you for proving a line I often use here:  “Keep \’em ignorant and you own \’em”.  For all too many of us, you do, and you do.
