Assuming you have seenit, I have a few questions – and answers.
-Question: Is this bullying?
Answer: Yes, in the sense that murder isassault. The word is technically correct but not at alldescriptive. This was an assault, a premeditated, prolonged assaultby a “child” wholaughed as she punched, kicked and pulled the other girl (who didnot at all resist) across a schoolyard by her hair…while others, insteadof breaking it up, laughed along with the assaulter, as it was recorded forposterity.
Question: Is it a racial attack?
-Answer: We cannot know the answer forsure. The fact that the attacker and the victim are of differentraces, in and of itself, doesn\’t prove this one way or the other.
-Question: What if the races were reversed: what if the assaultwere by a White girl, on a Black girl who did not resist, while her friendsstood around laughing and recording it?
Answer: I can\’t prove it, but I wouldbet body parts that this would be called a racial hate crime and be lead-storymaterial for days, maybe weeks, complete with protests and marches for “justice”.
About that last answer: if you doubt myexpectation about what would happen if the races were reversed, I have anotherquestion: can you show me what was racist about Michael Brown\’sshooting by Police Officer Darren Wilson – an incident during which not one witness claims any racial epithets were used, involving a police officer who had no complaints ever lodged against him, racial orotherwise?
Then, when you can\’t, because there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that it was in any way racial, explain to me why marches, protests, rioting, looting, burning, and the start of a race-based movement emanated directly from the Michael Brown shooting.
