Note to Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton:
The reason “those damn emails”, as Sanders referred to them, are bringing down Hillary Clinton\’s poll numbers, is because she allowed this country\’s foreign policy – including every document that was, became, or always implicitly should have been, classified – to be available for hacking by any country with even a modest capability for doing so.
And then she lied about it every step of the way. From how many smart phones she used, to how many emails there were, to the fact that some were clearly classified.
She actually tried to convince us that not one piece of classified information was sent to her in four years as Secretary Of State. You would have to be a spud to believe that.
That is why the FBI is investigating what is on those emails (and, for the record, if the FBI is involved, this is a criminal investigation, whether the Obama administration calls it one or not).
This is so significant, that even Ms. Clinton\’s rah-rah supporters in mainstream media could not duck the story.
And that, Mr. Sanders, and Ms. Clinton, is why “those damn emails” are still important, and why media – however much it might want to – can\’t bury them.
