JOE WILSON AND OBAMACARE FOR ILLEGALS

September 9, 2009:  President Obama assures congress that the “Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as ObamaCare, will not be provided to illegals.  His exact words:

“There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false—the reforms I’m proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.”

Suddenly a loud cry rings out – from Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC):  His response – for which he has been castigated ever since (he’s still in congress)?

“YOU LIE!”

Wilson apologized for the outburst afterwards.  Not for the opinion, but for the outburst.

But despite Wilson’s apology, a week later the House of Representatives voted – almost exclusively along party lines, a “resolution of disapproval” against him.

Now, let’s fast-forward to yesterday.

Yesterday, the White House issued a statement which tells us it is “expanding access to affordable, quality health care coverage to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients” – every one of them here illegally.

The statement goes on to say:

“Starting in November, DACA recipients can apply for coverage through HealthCare.gov and state-based marketplaces, where they may qualify for financial assistance to help them purchase quality health insurance.”

What a coincidence.  About 500,000 people with illegal status are getting ObamaCare from candidate Joe Biden…starting on the month the 2024 presidential election takes place.

How many of these 500,000 illegals will be voting in that election?  And please, please don’t tell me that because they’re illegal none of them will.  I’ll be laughing derisively too loud to hear you.

Let me end with a request.  Please let me know if, between now and then, the House of Representatives issues an apology to Joe Wilson.
