IS THE “BIPARTISAN BORDER BILL” A BORDER BILL?

As President Biden and Democrats continue to rail against Republican opposition to what he calls the “bipartisan border bill”, I thought you might want to see what is in it/where the money actually goes.

So here, from PBS (which ain’t what you’d call a member of the Republican Campaign Committee) is its actual breakdown:

A FUNDING BREAKDOWN

Total size: $118.3 billion. That includes:

  • About $60 billion in military aid for Ukraine
  • $14.1 billion in aid for Israel
  • $4.83 billion in aid for the Indo-Pacific region
  • $10 billion in humanitarian assistance for Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, among other places
  • $2.3 billion in refugee assistance inside the U.S.
  • $20.2 billion for improvements to U.S. border security
  • $2.72 billion for domestic uranium enrichment

Huh?  What’s that?  A $118.3 billion dollar “border bill” in which just $20.2 billion dollars – 17% – goes to the border, but $98.1 billion dollars – 83% of the total – goes elsewhere?????

That’s what they’re calling a BORDER bill?

That’s what Joe Biden says he needs to close the border?  And, by so doing, pretending/lying to our faces that he couldn’t just reverse the executive orders he signed his first days in office; the executive orders that opened our borders wide?

Just asking:  do you think this just might have something to do with the opposition?

End of blog.
