This exchange – as reported at whitehouse.gov!!! – took place today, between a reporter and President Joe Biden, before boarding Air Force One:
REPORTER: Mr. President, what’s your message to Democrats who are concerned about your poll numbers?,
BIDEN: “My poll numbers — the last five polls, you guys don’t report, I’m winning. Five — five in a row. You guys only look at the New York Times. They’re a great paper.”
Well, other than the fact that the last five polls at fivethirtyeight.com show Biden winning two of the last five (Trump wins two and the other is a tie)…
…and the fact that the last five polls at realclearpolitics.com show Biden winning two and Trump winning the other three…
Biden is making an important point.
Sadly, the important point he is making is either that he is ignorant, or lying, or so cognitively impaired that he can’t read simple polls anymore. Maybe more than one of these three.
How can Democrats run Joe Biden for the presidency this year – regardless of who his Republican opponent is, Trump or anyone else.
I can’t see a way. The only issue to me is how and when they get rid of him.
